DR Nyheder ist der Nachrichtendienst von DR (Danmarks Radio), Dänemarks nationaler öffentlich-rechtlicher Rundfunk. DR ist eine autonome öffentliche Einrichtung, die nach dänischem Rundfunkrecht gegründet wurde und nicht im Besitz eines privaten Unternehmens oder einer politischen Partei ist. Es wird von einem Vorstand geleitet und im Rahmen des dänischen Parlaments beaufsichtigt, aber als unabhängige öffentliche Einrichtung tätig. Es wurde 1925 als Radioordningen gegründet und trägt seit 1996 den Namen DR.
Finanzierung
Öffentlich finanziert. Die alte Fernseh-/Radiogebühr wurde schrittweise abgeschafft, und seit 2022 werden die öffentlich-rechtlichen Tätigkeiten von DR aus der allgemeinen Besteuerung über eine mit der dänischen Einkommensteuer verbundene Zuteilung finanziert.
Zugehörigkeit & Haltung
DR hat einen öffentlich-rechtlichen Auftrag der Unparteilichkeit und redaktionellen Unabhängigkeit, die nach dänischem Recht geschützt sind, ohne Parteizugehörigkeit. Als von Steuern finanzierter nationaler öffentlicher Rundfunk, der sich nicht im Besitz privater Interessen befindet, ist er als STAT (öffentlicher Rundfunk) eingestuft.
